I’m in! Today I'm proud to officially announce my campaign for Cobourg Town Council.

We've grown up together in this town. Raised our families here. And I think we both know Cobourg can do better, for our kids, for our wallets, and for our future.

I spent 16 years as your voice on local radio. I've helped families navigate the biggest financial decisions of their lives in the mortgage world. And right now, I work every day to make sure our most vulnerable neighbours get the funds needed for the care they deserve at Community Care Northumberland and The Ed's House Foundation.

I gotta say it was quite an honour to get an invite to Melly's and see first hand the incredible work this program does. The staff and management (coaches) were incredibly professional. The training, support and skills development towards increased independence are invaluable. When I spoke to 'Rocky' he shared how his training has helped him advance from kitchen to counter work and how much he loves being with the team. Thank you for the invite Minister David Piccini, we'll definitely be going back!

🚨 BREAKING: Bank of Canada Rate Cut 🚨

The Bank of Canada has lowered its benchmark interest rate by 25 basis points, bringing the overnight rate down to 2.50%. This is the eighth consecutive cut.

🔑 What does this mean?

-The Bank Prime rate drops to 4.70%.

-This only affects variable-rate mortgages, HELOCs, and other variable credit products.

-Homeowners in these products will see a slight reduction in their payments.

👉 According to Mortgage Professionals Canada, nearly 60% of mortgage holders renewing in the next two years will still face higher payments than before.
