B lenders (or alternative lenders) are lenders other than the banks and credit unions who are referred to as A lenders. B lenders don’t have to follow the same guidelines as A lenders therefore they may be able to accommodate your specific situation if you’re having a hard time securing financing. The cost of using a B lender is usually a bit higher, and you’re going to need at least 20% for a down payment, but this may be a great option for you!
