In November of 2011 a group of close friends and family s

aw a great opportunity within the Insurance industry, with years of leadership and business experience the adventure started with the creation of the JMHI Insurance Group. In 2012 JMHI purchased Gary K. Stewart Insurance Brokers Ltd. providing deep knowledge of the industry and an undisputable history. Now armed with over 100 years of experience JMHI is merely modernizing a well-oiled machine. The brokerage was established in 1896 by D.V. Hicks in the city of Dresden, sold to Claire Forshee, then to Ernest Wells in 1915, becoming H.E.Wells & Son in 1928. In 1974 it was purchased and renamed to Gary K. now operating as JMHI Insurance Group. With 125 years under its belt JMHI sets a clear benchmark for what customer service and satisfaction should be. Rain or shine, the show must go on! 🌧️🚗

This weekend at Retrofest, 8 dedicated junior judges didn’t let the weather stop them from having an amazing time on King St. judging some incredible classic cars owned by passionate car enthusiasts.

The judges had the opportunity to learn about the cars and the proud owners behind them before awarding 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes! 🏆

Along the way, they also stopped by the Lego car show at The Myrtle Flower Market and got to see some awesome builds on display!

To thank them for all their hard work, the junior judges were treated to a pizza lunch from Mamma Maria's Ristorante🍕

A huge thank you to Hagerty and everyone who participated and helped make the weekend so fun!

Our team helped decorate and bag a total of 3600 cookies!

Every cookie sold helps make a difference for local children and families through the Children's Treatment Centre Foundation.

"Are You Feeling Lucky?" Elimination Lottery will be hosted by Kiwanis Club of CK on March 13th, 2026. 🍀

📍 Derby Room at the Retro Suites

🕗 Doors open at 6:30. Draws begin at 7 pm until the last ticket is drawn.

All proceeds from the event will directly support Dolly Parton's Imagination Library in CK! 📚

What is Dolly Parton's Imagination Library?

It is a free book gifting program that is dedicated to encouraging the love of reading in young children. Enrolled children receive a high-quality, age-appropriate book in the mail each month at no cost.
