This week, our team showed up for Bowl for Kids Sake 2026—Crystal and Brodie volunteered at registration while RBC Dominion Securities donated $1,500 to Big Brothers Big Sisters PEI through the RBC Communities Together Fund.

Many young people in Canada face real adversities—family instability, mental health challenges, identity struggles. With the support of a mentor, these risks can be reduced, and youth are encouraged to overcome adversity and thrive.

Big Brothers Big Sisters mobilizes over 21,300 volunteers across Canada, logging 2.2 million mentoring hours annually to support 41,700+ youth. That's life-changing impact in over 1,100 communities—including right here in PEI.

Our team is proud to support Camp Gensheff, a transformative non-profit on PEI's beautiful coast that empowers adults and children with intellectual and physical disabilities year-round.

This week, we made a cash donation while Crystal Aylward and six colleagues from our office joined Winter River Creations' Craft Night fundraiser—painting wooden crafts to support the camp's mission.

Why Camp Gensheff matters:

Camp Gensheff operates on a philosophy of "Focus on Ability"—providing safe, accessible programming across 22 beachfront acres. With a 3:1 client-to-staff ratio and a team of trained professionals (including certified paramedics and psychology graduates), the camp helps campers achieve milestones they never thought possible: from canoeing to building lifelong friendships.

A beautiful summer day plus our annual donation for Santa’s Angels. It was also a great excuse to grab some Fish and Chips at The Fin at Blackbush.

Special shoutout to my old friend Kenny Zakem who founded this organization over 20 years ago and still continues to help drive it forward.

Earlier this month, Crystal and her daughter, Skyla, volunteered at the 2025 Bragger's Cup golf tournament in support of Make-A-Wish Canada.

In support of the tournament, and the outstanding work being done by Make-A-Wish, we donated $1000 dollars to help cover costs of the event. Make-A-Wish is an excellent charitable organization that has been granting the wishes of children with critical illnesses for more than 40 years.

We are proud to support Make-A-Wish, and look forward to continuing to work with them in the future.

Last week we were given the privilege of volunteering for The Upper Room Food Bank during their 21st Annual Ocean 100 Stuff-A-Bus event, where we presented a donation from the RBC Foundation on behalf of our team.

A special thank you to the wonderful people at The Upper Room, and the friendly staff at Mike & Andreea's No Frills in Stratford for hosting us, and bringing the community together for such an excellent cause.

The Upper Room is a hybrid food bank, soup kitchen, and the Association of PEI Food Banks, meaning they support various food banks across PEI all while running their own food bank and soup kitchen. The team and I are proud to align ourselves with The Upper Room and their values, and help spread awareness for food insecurity in our community.

The team will be volunteering from 11am - 1pm today at this years Stuff-A-Bus food drive in support of the Upper Room Food Bank.

This past Sunday morning we were given the pleasure of volunteering our time at the 2025 Ronald McDonald House Walk for Kids. We spent our morning handing out snacks and drinks to the families that participated, and we were happy to contribute our part to the more than $35,000 raised for this excellent cause.
