There are many ways to make additional income like working a second career part time (side hustle) or investing properly through a professional (like myself) or self directed platform, if it seems too good to be true, it probably is.

As we wrap up Life Insurance Awareness Month , this shouldn’t be the only time we talk about. While life insurance can be for you down the road in to leverage, it is really for the people you care about. Have a look at some of these myths and see if those were stories you were telling yourself. ✌️

"Daughter hit with $660,000 tax bill when both parents died in same year" on ctv news website. This should not have happened. This is exactly why people need to have life insurance if they qualify. Maybe it would not have been for the full amount but it would have helped with settling the estate and knowing at least they had something left over. It's not cool to leave that burden on the next generation to deal with. This is why I am so passionate about the BIG picture not just one piece of the pie. I cannot add the link here sadly but will try to add it in the comments. Please talk to me if you don't have any insurance in place. It's Life Insurance Awareness Month and this is as important (if not more) as having home insurance and car insurance.

"Daughter hit with $660,000 tax bill when both parents died in same year." This is why I preach life insurance. Even if they didn't have the full amount it as life insurance it would have helped out tremendously. We never know when our expiry date is. We can hope it's much later in which case, this could have been less but there are 2 things that are certain: death and taxes.. Don't let this happen to your kids or grandkids or future ones if you are young enough and qualify.

An Ontario woman says she had to use her nearly all of her parents’ retirement savings to pay off a more than $660,000 tax bill after they both died within the same year.

The ongoing debate - remote, hybrid or in-person

There are pro's and con's to each and every one.

But when someone is told that they have to do something it tends to raise hackles (yes..I know cat reference 🐈)

People don't enjoy it. They push back. However, some relent.

Work from home allows for cost savings in gas, transport passes, child care and massive flexibility and often people will work more hours. That can both be a pro and a con.

Work in Office allows for more social interaction, brainstorming, and potentially effectiveness. The downside comes in the form of increased costs of child care, lost work when someone is ill, gas and time in transit.

Hybrid, well is just that.. there is the good and the bad potential of both worlds.

I personally prefer hybrid and the flexibility I have with it. I also know it's my choice to work in my branch or out of my home office. I adjust as necessary to allow for balance in my life. It allows me to take care of myself, my family and my business. This doesn't mean things are always perfectly balanced. That's the myth. It is about achieving balance for your priority at the given time and adjusting when your priority shifts. (My current work situation pictured above)

As an employee you don't always have a choice as people are seeing now. They are being told they have to return to work.

Now more people will need to pick up additional jobs to account for the increase in expenses as their pay cheques likely didn't keep up.

💥What’s your take -> remote, hybrid, or in-office? How do you balance your priorities when work demands shift?

At the end of the day, it’s not just about where you work -> it’s about how you protect your time, your energy, and your money. Finding balance means building resilience in all three
