Cayuga Mutual Insurance Who We Are! As a result both the Oneida Farmers Mutual Insurance Company and the Grand River Mutual Fire Insurance Company were formed.

The concept of Cayuga Mutual began in 1875 when small groups of farmers decided to band together to protect one another from the financial ruin that would surely result in the case of a barn fire. These companies were run by members and operated in a true “neighbour helping neighbour” style. In 1970, both of these companies joined together to form the Cayuga Mutual Fire Insurance Company. We are a part of the Ontario Mutual Insurance Association which is a network of 40 independent, purely mutual companies across Ontario. Each company is 100% independent, local and member driven. We do not have shareholders, simply policyholders who are all members and have a say in important issues in the company. As a way of showing the company's appreciation for their hard work and dedication, our Engagement Committee put on a Southern Style BBQ lunch for the entire team this afternoon!

On the menu was Brisket, Chicken, Pasta Salad, Potato Salad, Cornbread Muffins and a variety of deserts.

It's always nice to get everyone together to enjoy a meal in our Community Room.

Greg and Steve were paid a visit by all-star centerman Liam from the Cayuga Stars yesterday.

Liam and his mother Trish were kind enough to bring us a new team picture for display in our office.

When he's not coaching the soccer teams of his three girls, Cal (also an ex-chef), enjoys hunting, fishing, baseball and golf.

We had a blast at the Mutual Slo Pitch Tournament on Friday June 26th!

The day was filled with lots of laughs, a couple wins, and an equal number of pulled hamstrings.
