Hello Friends & Family,
As some of you may already know, my Dad, Danny Clancy and his partner Viki tragically lost their home in a devastating fire the evening of May 11th, 2024. This tragedy has left them with nothing but the clothes they had on their backs that evening.
Unfortunately, due to the age of their home, it was only insured for a very small amount. Therefore, rebuilding a new home and starting anew presents a monumental challenge.
Our dear friends and family have decided to throw them a fundraiser, aptly named the Clancy Phoenix Fundraiser as my father and Vicki try to rise above the ashes and begin reconstructing their home and lives. This fundraiser is intended to lighten a very heavy load and the financial challenges that they now face.
My father and Vicki are so deserving of this help. My dad is the guy who would do anything for anybody with a smile and a joke to make you feel better along the way. He would give you the shirt off his back if needed. He is a kind man with a heart so big and compassionate. He is the head brewer at the Ashton Pub and a friend to so many.
Viki is also a kind person who will always lend an ear and offer you advice to fix a problem your dealing with. She is a phenomenal cook and can whip you up whatever meal you may be craving and make it taste like the most delicious thing you've ever eaten. Like my father, she has a heart of gold.
Our beloved family home had countless beautiful memories and stories attached to it. Now they will only remain in our memory as we start to rebuild and create new memories in a new home.
During the upcoming Clancy Phoenix Fundraiser, we will have someone there to tell the story of my father Dan and his partner Viki, Ellen and Jim Clancy, Percy and Donna, Randy Bell as they recount the story of the home including memories of Percy and Mabel Hay.
Location: Generations Event Tent at Hay Shore, 717 Lake Park Rd.
Camping spots will be available as well.
There will be a 50/50 draw and a silent auction. There will be other fundraising activities with amazing prizes to be won, and many other fun activities for both adults and children.
We could use your help in adding to our event and are currently in search of the following:
1. Bands/Talent
2. Food/Drink options
3. Silent Auction item
4. Donations of prizes (no donation is too small!)
4. Memories/stories/ photographs from your own experiences in this home.
Thank you in advance for all support you have shown us and all the kind support coming in the days ahead as they journey through this difficult and challenging time. They WILL rise from the ashes and build again.❤️
