My name is Becky and my aim is to help bring balance to your life by taking care of your bookkeeping needs. Bookkeeping can seem confusing, tedious, and daunting to some while others view it as a time-consuming hassle. Without clear, organized books for your business, you will have no idea which part of your business is flourishing, and where you can improve. You may not even know if you are profi

table. I can help to clear the confusion while freeing up your time, so that you are able to focus on what is important to you.

Thinking of writing off that business lunch? Here’s what you need to know.

The CRA only allows you to deduct 50% of eligible meal and entertainment expenses — even when they’re clearly business-related. That includes client meetings, team dinners, and working lunches.

Why? Because the CRA expects you to cover part of the cost yourself. It’s about keeping expenses reasonable.

There is one exception: if you’re hosting a staff event where all employees are invited, like an office party, you may be able to deduct 100%, up to six times per year.

Keep it legit. Keep your receipts. And when in doubt, keep it simple.

I’m Fully Booked (for now!)

My client roster is officially full until April 1 — and honestly, I’m so grateful to work with such incredible small business owners.

If you’ve been thinking:

“I need monthly bookkeeping off my plate”

“I’m behind and overwhelmed and just need someone to sort this mess out”

…then now’s the time to grab a spot on the waitlist.

I’m opening limited spaces for April — including:

Monthly bookkeeping support

Bookkeeping 9-1-1 projects (aka: “please help me, it’s chaos in here”)

DM me “WAITLIST” or tap the link in bio to get early access when doors open.

No stress. No shame. Just solutions that actually work.

New office, same mission.
I’ve officially moved into my downtown Camrose space and I couldn’t be happier to be right in the heart of the community I work with every day.

This space is about showing up, doing good work, and helping local business owners reclaim time and peace of mind.

Most clothing is still considered personal, even if you need to look professional.

Deductible clothing is generally limited to safety gear, uniforms you would not wear anywhere else, or clearly branded apparel.

Hair, makeup, lashes, and nails are also personal.

Looking polished is part of life, not a tax strategy.

Every January I see the same thing. Smart business owners who are great at what they do are still treating bookkeeping like something they’ll “get to later.” Later usually turns into stress, penalties, or a very expensive clean up.

2026 doesn’t need to look like that.

What’s “in” isn’t fancy software or perfection. It’s support that fits real life. Monthly work done on time. Systems that actually help instead of adding another thing to your plate. Numbers you can look at without feeling your stomach drop.

What’s “out” is chaos dressed up as normal. Bags of receipts. Guessing at GST and payroll. Putting things off until it becomes a whole project. And yes, learning the hard way through fines and awkward CRA letters.

None of this means you’re bad at business. It usually means you’ve been trying to do too much on your own.

Bookkeeping should make your business feel steadier, not heavier. If you’re ready to move into the “in” column this year, that’s exactly what I help with. And if you’re still in the “out” column? No judgement. Just options.

If I had to start over...
These are the lessons that hit hard — and honestly? I wish I’d learned them sooner.

If you're in the messy middle, let this be your reminder: you’re doing better than you think.

Which one speaks to you?

Wishing you the very best 💛

🚨 Bookkeeping Myth Busters 🚨
If you've ever said one of these out loud… don't worry, you're not alone 👇

1️⃣ “I’ll save money if I just do it myself.”
2️⃣ “Bookkeeping is just data entry.”
3️⃣ “I’m too behind — it’s hopeless.”

✨ Truth? Doing your own books might feel like the responsible choice, but it could be costing you more time, sleep, and money than you realize. And you’re never too behind to catch up — that’s literally what I’m here for.

I help busy business owners (like YOU) turn bookkeeping chaos into calm — no spreadsheets, no shame.

Stop Throwing Away Your Bookkeeping Claims
If you are a sole proprietor, year-end is approaching fast. Now is the perfect time to get your bookkeeping sorted before the holiday pressure and year-end rush hit.

If you have ever received a letter from the CRA because they want to review your records, you'll know the feeling of wondering if you have done everything right. The single most common item the CRA expects to see proper supporting documentation for is your receipts.

Here's the critical difference: You need the supplier's receipt, not the debit or credit card receipt. Debit receipts alone only show payment, not proof of what you actually bought.

Your 4-Point CRA Receipt Checklist
To be considered CRA-compliant and admissible, your receipts must include these four things:

*The supplier's business name
*The details of what was purchased
*The date of the transaction
*The GST number (if GST was charged)

If your receipt is missing these items, the expense can be disallowed by the CRA. Good bookkeeping makes responding to a CRA review quick and painless. A few minutes of tidying now could save you hours and headaches later.

Ready for a Quick Tune-Up?
Whether your books need a quick tune-up or a full clean up, we can help get things organized and compliant before the year wraps up.
