I used to believe life insurance wasn’t necessary if someone had enough savings, owned a home, or had an estate that could be sold.

But then I started asking myself: How much is ever really enough when we’re talking about replacing a life?

Far too many people have misconceptions about life insurance. They believe it’s too expensive, only for parents, only meant to cover funeral costs, or unnecessary when you’re young.

These beliefs can prevent people from experiencing the true value of life insurance protection.

For example, 1 in 5 Canadians surveyed (21%) believe insurers approve only half or fewer of the claims they receive, despite a reported 99% payout rate nationwide.

So, what could a 99% chance of financial protection mean for the people you love when you’re no longer there to provide for them?

It’s not really about you.

I worked for a long time in a different self employed, contracted trade: Music! Softer trade to be sure, but if I didn't have the skills I didn't work. Advice around finance or any sort of money sense wasn't offered, sometimes our queries were rejected: "You don't have enough to work with us!"
It's the same out there today for most in any of the trades: few options are willingly offered to help protect and invest in a safer way. We're offering an hour of knowledge to help people with questions get started from a honest work point of view.
