💰 Compound Interest: aka the rule of 72

A rule that should be taught as the fundameal of making money work for you.

Disclaimer: If you carry alot of debt, this rule is also working against you btw!

The Wealth Builder Most People Wait Too Long to Use. Compound interest isn’t about how much you start with. It’s about how long you let it work.

When you invest, you don’t just earn interest on your money.

You earn interest on your interest.

And then interest on that interest.

That’s how small, consistent amounts turn into something meaningful over time.

For example:

If you invest $200/month and earn a 6% average return:

• After 10 years: ~ $33,000
• After 20 years: ~ $92,000
• After 30 years: ~ $200,000

Notice something?

The real growth happens in the later years.
The biggest mistake isn’t starting small.
It’s not starting at all.

Whether it’s inside a Tax-Free Savings Account or a Registered Retirement Savings Plan, the habit matters more than the amount in the beginning.

Build the habit.

Automate it.

Let time do the heavy lifting.

Because compound interest doesn’t reward timing the market —
It rewards time in the market.

People talk a lot about “work-life balance,” and for years I chased the idea that one day I’d finally have it all figured out.

What I’ve learned is that balance isn’t a destination — it’s a constant process of growth, awareness, communication, and course correction.

The more self-aware and confident I become, the more I notice when certain areas of my life need attention. Sometimes it’s my health. Sometimes it’s fitness. Sometimes it’s how I show up as a mom, a wife, or even for myself.

And sometimes, the most important thing I can do is step back, take a breath, and refocus.

Life isn’t about being perfect in every area all at once. It’s about recognizing when something feels off, making adjustments, and finding what works for you in your season of life.

Growth is ongoing. Balance looks different for everyone. And that’s okay.

This past weekend, I had the honour of speaking to our team — and it’s something I don’t take lightly.

If you would have told me 6 years ago that I’d one day stand in front of a room full of people and share my story, my experiences, and my heart… I honestly would have laughed. Not because I didn’t care, but because I never believed I was capable of it.

There was a time when self-doubt was louder than confidence. A time when fear of judgment, fear of failure, and fear of not being “good enough” kept me quiet. Speaking in front of people felt impossible to me.

But growth has a way of changing us when we’re willing to keep showing up — even when it’s uncomfortable.

This journey has stretched me in ways I never expected. It’s taught me that confidence isn’t something you’re born with; it’s built through the moments you want to quit but choose to keep going anyway.

Standing in front of our team this weekend was more than just giving a talk. It was a reminder of how far I’ve come, how much healing and growth can happen over time, and how powerful it is to step outside of your comfort zone.

Most importantly, it reminded me that the person you are today does not have to be the person you stay forever.

To anyone who struggles with self-doubt or feels like they’re not capable of more — you are. Growth feels uncomfortable because it’s changing you. Keep going. One day, you’ll look back and barely recognize the version of yourself that once thought you couldn’t.

Monday win:

💫💫Last week our team was able to free up almost $1400 a month for a family just by restructuring money they were already spending💫💫.

💫💫We reduced their debt. They are now properly insured; and are saving money towards retirement💫💫💫

💫Leaving money with a company you’re not with anymore, is like leaving money in your exes bank accounts 🤷🏼‍♀️

Something I get asked often is clients saying “doesn’t it trigger tax when I move it” the short answer is no. You can transfer money to any institution as long as it doesn’t leave that vehicle. A transfer is different than a direct withdrawal.

Diamonds are formed under pressure… 💎
but I’m done with the pressure—bring on the heat. 🔥

Because pressure builds…
but heat transforms.

It refines.
It strengthens.
It forces growth you can’t ignore.

So if life’s turning up the temperature right now—
good.

That means something powerful is being created. ✨
