Five years ago, I reached a point in my career most people only dream of.

I owned a house.
Drove a fancy car.
Ran a growing company.
Could afford most things I wanted.

But I wasn’t happy.

Deep down, I still believed I needed more to feel fulfilled.

I’d look at others and convince myself I'd be happier:

If I had that car.
If I could afford that lifestyle.
If my company hit those numbers.

But the goalpost kept moving.

Somewhere along the way, I got caught up in the chase.
It happens to most of us at some point.

With age, and after years of chasing,
I began to see things more clearly.

It’s not about giving up ambition or working less.
It’s about understanding what actually brings you joy.

And what I didn’t realise back then
was that the real luxuries were already within reach.

I just didn’t know how to appreciate them.

These days, my definition of wealth has changed.

I still have goals. I’m still driven.
There’s still so much I want to build and create.

But I no longer believe the next achievement will make me whole.

Now, joy comes from being with family.
From long walks in nature.
Laughter over dinner.
A peaceful night’s sleep.

The small things we all have but often overlook.

The kind of wealth no money can buy.
