Prepare for liftoff as we are going LIVE shortly to embark on an adventure to select stellar champions from the cosmic participants in the 9th Annual Family Fun Dash! A special shoutout goes to the otherworldly Burnaby Heights merchants ( The Valley Bakery , BC Bee Supply , Muckabout Gift Gallery , and Anton's Pasta Bar ) who have generously contributed magnificent door prizes for this cosmic extravaganza.

🎉 The moment we've all been waiting for is finally here! TODAY IS SPACE RACE DAY!!! Let's make history together as we defy gravity and show the universe what we're made of! 🌠🏆

STARTING LINES:

For the 3-block dash, participants line up at Carleton Avenue no later than 9:15am. There will be a warm-up leader who will instruct you further.

For the 4-block dash, participants line up at Madison Avenue no later than 9:15am. There will be a warm-up leader who will instruct you further.

The finish line will be the same for all participants, at Ingleton.

NORTH BURNABY PHYSIOTHERAPY & WELLNESS will be at the finish line for a helpful stretching session. Just follow the music after the high-fiving firefighters!

FINISHER'S BAGS:

If you haven't picked up your Finisher's Bag with Finisher's Medallion yet, they will be available directly after the race OUTSIDE Gulf & Fraser Credit Union Branch (4191 Hastings Street, Burnaby @ Carleton & Hastings) until 11:30am at the latest. **Any Finisher's bags & Finisher's medallions not picked up by 11:30am on June 3rd will go to those on the waitlist.**

Tickets are now SOLD OUT for the 200 Finisher's bags HOWEVER, we have a WAITLIST feature on Eventbrite started. If there are any not picked up by 11:30am on Saturday June 3rd they will go to those on the waitlist. You can still join the dash and we will notify you if any Finisher's bags become available.

We just got back to Mission Control with some delectable treats to fuel all of our space racers! 😋 THANK YOU Gabi & Jules Handmade Pies & Baked Goodness for supporting the Hats Off Day - Family Fun Dash kids by providing these delicious desserts for the cosmic Finisher's bags. 🤩

The Family Fun Dash is a beloved fitness tradition at Hats Off Day that involves Burnaby Heights kids “dashing” to raise funds for the Burnaby Firefighters Charitable Society and was inspired by celebrating active families and the joy and wellness it brings to the community. We are providing all registered participants with a “Finisher's bag” of goodies to show our appreciation for their participation and to encourage them to continue making a positive impact in their community, as well as to promote physical fitness and active families.

All of the goodies have been provided by local Burnaby Heights merchants!

Finisher's Bags are available 💫 STARTING TODAY 💫 for participants with confirmed registrations thru Eventbrite or have emailed their registrations (and received confirmation) with ticket payment via etransfer or cash at pickup.

So if you'd like to avoid the lineups on space race day, pickup your child’s Finisher’s medallion & Finisher's bag early on June 1 & 2nd, inside Gulf & Fraser Credit Union Branch (4191 Hastings Street, Burnaby @ Carleton & Hastings) from 9:30am-5pm.
They will also be available directly after the race OUTSIDE Gulf & Fraser Credit Union Branch (until 11:30am June 3rd at the latest)
