With our Industry Roundtable networking event approaching, we’d like to finish our last tip of the week by talking about resumes.

It is great to have your resume tailored to the industry and company you’d like to join. However, it’s even better to have a digital copy ready and available at hand to send to a recruiter right away when you are still in their presence during a networking event. This will make you stand out and demonstrate your efforts to go the extra mile.

Although using platforms like LinkedIn can help you form professional connections, be mindful of other person's time. Industry professionals are very busy, so send a brief personalized message to people that you made a connection with after meeting them.
Remember to always thank them and mention at least one positive thing you learned from them during the meeting.
