Meet Patty!

Patty is our Director of Operations & Customer Success and has been with tiptap since 2020. She plays a key role in ensuring customers have a positive and successful experience throughout their program and journey with tiptap.

One of Patty’s favourite parts about working at tiptap has been meeting so many people along the way — both coworkers and customers — and being part of something meaningful that helps support those in need. She’s also a fan of our Friday office barbeques!

Outside of work, Patty enjoys staying active, especially skiing and playing hockey. During the winter, you’ll usually find her skiing with friends and family, or at après if she’s not on the hill. She also loves spending time with Jack, her red golden retriever.

Curious how to make the most out of your tiptap devices? Here is how to maximize collections for your organization:

1. Placement is key. Place your tiptap devices in prominent areas where they are easily visible and most people will pass them. Also place your displays in areas where the donor is most likely to already have their mobile devices or wallets already out and handy. Places such as entrances and exits.
2. Promote the tiptap giving portion of your program prominently with marketing spend and integrate your displays in your marketing messaging. Pro tip: promotion online allows donors to look for the donation spots before entering the facility.
3. Ensure employee engagement. Provide incentives and/or friendly competition between locations and employees.
4. Test and learn different locations, creativity, denominations, messaging, and call-to-action. Play around with your displays and see what becomes most successful.
5. Measure your collections regularly and consistently look for opportunities to continually optimize donations.
6. Include a value exchange for the donor whenever possible (tap to get…, sticker for donation recognition, etc.).
7. Regularly update display locations and design of the display for continuous donations from previous donors.
