🚧Traffic Notice: The Brentwood Bay Festival and Parade is happening Saturday, June 6!
The parade begins at 10:00 a.m. and will travel west along Wallace Dr from Newton Place, turning north onto West Saanich Rd and finishing at HEL,HILEȻ Park.
🚗Road closures will be in place for approx 30–40 minutes during the parade. Side streets along the route will be closed.
👮‍♂️ Central Saanich Police Service and flaggers will be along the route to assist with traffic.

Don’t pile invasive scotch broom on the side of roadways.

Did you know piling cut, invasive scotch broom on the side of roadways creates a wildfire risk for our communities? Cut broom dries out very quickly and creates a fire hazard, especially during the wildfire season as temperatures increase.

If you are looking to get rid of your scotch broom or other invasives this spring, please arrange for it to be picked up or take it to your local landfill for proper disposal. Let’s protect our communities and ensure we are creating safe, resilient habits as we approach wildfire season!
