A year ago, we started this journey together when she reached out for a mortgage pre-approval after going through a separation. At the time, she was preparing for what her next chapter might look like.

Today is a day to honour the children who never returned home, the Survivors of residential schools, and their families and communities.

It’s also a day to listen, learn, reflect and recognize that the impacts of residential schools continue to be felt today.
