Is a reverse mortgage the right choice for you after 65? Customers aged 55 plus can qualify for up to 55% LTV off the home value, but in an age where household incomes don't support the lifestyle, families rely on home equity resulting in Canada's highest household debt and mortgages.

Second mortgage behind a reverse is hard enough to place, if you are stuck at a 75% LTV, with a first reverse mortgage in the first position means extreme high risk to the second lender squeezing them out of equity every month. Your second lender can call the mortgage, not renew or start with legal proceedings leaving you homeless.
