Do you want to create generational wealth and do something substantial for yourself and the humanity, or get lost in the crowd and be mediocre? Harsh question maybe, but this is what I asked myself everyday for the last 8 years. Then one day I quit my day job to focus on something I was passionate about, Real Estate! Not just your typical real estate like buying/selling pre-cons, flipping distressed properties etc, which is fine when starting off, but I wanted more. So the next step was development.
But for that I needed experience, guidance, capital, etc. I took bunch of courses, joined different groups, and learned that your "Network is your Networth ". I attended lots of Zoom meetings, networking events, made connections with like minded people. But something was missing. We've all heard the saying " Sometimes you can't see what's in front of you ". This implied to me, because as I went through my database, I learned that one of my high school friends was in Real estate! And the best part? He was a developer.
This right here, this is when all the stars aligned and everything just clicked for me. We opened a company together and did our first deal investing in bare land which tripled in value over 1 year period. After that deal I realized that I wanted to do more projects with my friend, now business partner. Moving forward, we came across multiple deals and are working to close on few of them, but there's one development project we have that will be paramount to everything else.
