Fun fact -
I have worked in the oil field in a variety of roles.
I was a structural welder, a welder's helper, threaded pipe on punch drills (that will build muscle ... whew!!), and worked the reclaimer for drilling companies. I loved each and every role and the physical aspect of these jobs.
Upon my second cancer diagnosis, however, I knew that I needed to be more gentle on my body. And, as a single Mom, I realized, very quickly, how expensive being sick really was.
From missed income, traveling back and forth to the hospital, parking, special medications & supplements not covered by Alberta Health, and meals while away from home for treatment - it took me 7 years to pay back the money that I had to borrow from family, friends, and lenders. It was a humbling experience. Facing financial hardship in the midst of any diagnosis adds another layer of stress on an already heartbreaking time. I wish that I had these incredible plans in place before I became sick!
Our plans pay you for for hospital stays, cancer treatments, recovery time, ambulance reimbursements, broken bones, fractures, and outpatient surgeries.
This is why I do what I do. It's my WHY. Every time that I have the honour of helping an individual or a family, it brings me right back to why I do what I do.
My past work experience also gives me an edge when working with my amazing blue collar clients! I understand their needs because I have been right where they are.
I am not afraid of hard work. And, I now have the peace of mind that these affordable plans bring.
