Those spooky pop-up decorations are hilarious — right up until a little trick-or-treater gets so startled that they forget their feet are still attached to the ground. 😅

Halloween is about fun, imagination and a little harmless fright, but if you’re welcoming kids onto your property, remember that little ones can be genuinely scared by some decorations.

Moose can appear suddenly, and because they’re so large, hitting one can cause serious damage to your vehicle—and serious injury to the people inside it.

A few things to remember:

• Slow down in areas marked for moose
• Be especially alert around sunrise and sunset
• Watch the roadside, not just the road ahead
• If you see one moose, slow down—there may be another nearby
• Never swerve into oncoming traffic to avoid a moose

And if a collision does happen, pull over safely and contact the appropriate authorities and your insurance broker.
