We’ve summarised the updates so you don’t have to dig through City and provincial releases. Starting January 1, you’ll be able to recycle more items than ever, including:

Paper coffee cups
Flexible plastic packaging (snack bags, chip bags, coffee bags)
Paper plates & plastic cutlery
Toothpaste tubes
Black plastic containers (plant pots, etc.)

Barrie’s residential recycling is managed by Circular Materials, not the City. For collection schedules, accepted items, and tips, visit CircularMaterials.ca/barrie
