As highly anticipated, the Bank of Canada has announced a timely decrease of its key interest rate.

Lenders are likely to follow suit and decrease their prime lending rate by 0.25%. Although this change may seem insignificant, it is expected to bring further movement.

As we expected, the Bank of Canada has announced it will continue to hold its key interest rate. The prime interest rate for most lenders remains at 7.20%.

💵 Paying cash allows you to have a physical and visual grasp on what you are spending, and keeping all your change in a piggy bank can add up!

〰 Round Up and Watch your Savings Grow 〰
📈 When paying bills, round up the payment amount and save the rest.
For example: If your phone bill is $71.43, subconsciously you have already budgeted $75.00. Pay the billed amount and transfer the remaining $3.57 to your savings account. To make a quicker and larger impact, do this for each payment you have and round up to the nearest $10.

Small changes make saving easier. It all adds up and every little bit helps!
