What an incredible time at the East Coast Credit Union Chowder Challenge 💙

From incredible seafood chowders to live music and a lively auction, it was a great event from start to finish. Most importantly, we were proud to come together in support of L'Arche Cape Breton Community Day Programs. Thanks to everyone who joined us and helped make it such a memorable event.

We're kicking off Canadian Environment Week with a proud moment from our Sackville branch.

We recently joined the Sackville Kinsmen, Sackville Lions Club, Sackville Rivers Association, and other incredible partners to release 1,500 fish into First Lake, helping support local ecosystems and environmental sustainability.

It was a great day that brought people of all ages together around a shared purpose. We loved connecting with attendees at our booth, sharing resources, and being part of such a meaningful initiative.

We're honoured to support Ronald McDonald House Maritimes in Halifax.

As the first net-zero Ronald McDonald House, the facility reflects a forward-thinking approach to sustainability while staying grounded in its mission of care. It provides an affordable place to stay for families with children admitted to IWK Health who live more than 40 km away.

In just one year, the house has supported more than 1,400 families. Donations like ours help provide comfort, stability, and the ability for families to stay close during some of life’s most challenging moments. This experience was a powerful reminder of what is possible when organizations come together to uplift, support, and care for the community.

Starting this June, East Coast Credit Union is proud to support Nourish NS and their incredible cookbook campaign 💙

Jennifer Pierce and Jenny Osburn from Nourish Nova Scotia recently visited our Fall River branch to celebrate the impact we’re working together to make in our communities.

To help go even further, East Coast Credit Union will match donations made throughout the month of June. Funds raised will support school food programs for students across Nova Scotia and help provide cookbooks to community organizations, reaching youth and families across the province.

Applications for the East Coast Credit Union Spark Creativity Bursary at Nova Scotia Community College - NSCC close on June 4.

This bursary supports students from communities that are underrepresented in Nova Scotia’s creative sector as they pursue Creative Industries programming at NSCC. Creativity thrives in culturally safe spaces where diverse perspectives and lived experiences are recognized and celebrated, and we invite others to help expand this impact by joining us in supporting students and removing barriers to education.
