A Prayer For My Beloved & Cherished Mother (Ma)
I remeber you telling me of the journey that we embarked om in May 1959 from Naples to Halifax (our first cruise!) for the purpose of giving me and my sister a better and prosperous life.
Today, I received the most devestating news a son can ever get about his mother, after seven weeks of not seeing or knowing how you were treated...but it was not for the lack of trying on my part....believe me i tried.
You reflected a nobility of character with a personality always affectionate and concerned for the well being of others. A constant concern for your grandchildren ; Stephen, Melissa, Rina & Nick and your great grand children , Lucianna and Massimo and the rest of our family.
You were to me an amazing mother, a loving wife, and grandmothe and great grandmother. You always gave us unconditional love!!!
I am very sorry not to be able to come and confort towards the end of your journey, because of the current circumstances and how couregous you were until your final breath.......
I hope that the good memories of all of our parties and family gatherings will remain dear and close to your hearth. ayaour love to cook and feed everyone, especially my University buddies, was priceless. You brought joy to all of those around you and held the family together.
Our prayers accompany you to your next journey to reunite with Dad and may your soul rest in peace.
I will never forget what you did for us, and until we meet again...........
