Where did the time go?
Success is a journey.
My business plan, that I had been working on for months had to now take action April 2001.
It included finding a location, potential clients, a team of professionals, my family backing me, financial discipline amongst others all to open my doors for October 1, 2001.
Well, it happened, along with many other things not in my business plan.
A few weeks before opening, 911 changed our world as we knew it. A few months after opening, the stability of my family collapsed leaving me as a single mother of three.
Life has its up and downs. That dynamic would continue over the years.
Is it fair to weigh the two against each other? Can one even exist without the other? Balance is the key.
Here is some context
a) when the going gets tough, I had to reach deeper inside myself and reach Higher for Strength to take me through. I really appreciated the encouragement received from those that believed in me.
b) my passion and love for what I set out to do propelled me through those rough times.
My plan was to make a difference in my community as a leader. That meant an insurance agency with a team of professionals that believed in my Vision of delivering Insurance and Financial services in an impactful way. The knowledge and service we provide should allow my clients to make informed financial decisions that will protect their families and grow their wealth while building a relationship of trust with us.
c) I had to walk the talk. My children sacrificed valuable time away from me quite a bit in those beginning years while depending on me to not let our livelihood diminish. The same discipline I encouraged my clients to adopt with their finances had to be reflected in my family while I struggled as an entrepreneur.
Alas, it all paid off. Determination and Focus are key examples for staying on Track with your Goals. Victories inspire you on. They can be small and ultimately, of course, the larger ones 💯
As I kick off my celebration of my 25th year in business, I first want to thank those that put their trust in me by answering their door &/or telephone call allowing me to be your chosen professional Insurance Agent. I want to also thank those of you that are still with me these past 25 years. For those of you that have referred your family, friends and colleagues, many many thanks!
I appreciate my peers in the industry. Huge love for my family and friends that have supported me especially my children who have always been there and continue to be filling many roles along the way♥️♥️♥️
Lastly, but certainly not least, my team that started with me, anyone who has been part of my team and special thanks to my loyal(to me and to our clients) team member and her family who has been with me over 20 years🙏
