If a flood impacts your home, it can take time to hear back from subcontractors and your claims adjuster. In the meantime, as long as your home is safe to enter, you can take steps to document the situation and prevent damage from worsening.

📷Take pictures or video of damage

🧹Remove pooled water and hazardous materials

🍄Watch for mould within 24 to 48 hours

💨Keep fans running

🧼Clean and disinfect contaminated rooms

Remember not to dispose of flood-damaged items until you talk to your claims adjuster.
