We're honoured to welcome Kgomotso Ratlhaga, Chief Executive Officer of Westlife Insurance Botswana, who will deliver the Opening Remarks at the second annual Botswana Actuarial Symposium.

A Chartered Accountant and accredited insurance professional with 23+ years of experience across insurance, auditing, and financial services, Ms Ratlhaga brings a proven track record in enterprise turnarounds, digital transformation, and growth strategy spanning multinational, regional, and local organisations.

Her qualifications include a Bachelor of Accountancy, ACCA, COP, Higher Certificate in Insurance, and the AIISA designation. She is an alumna of the Leadership Development Programme at Stellenbosch University (Class of 2025).

Under her leadership, Westlife has launched a five-year strategy to become a diversified, digitally enabled and customer-centric life insurer, and has completed its full transition to IFRS 17. The strategy is anchored in a theme that speaks directly to the heart of BASY: "Building Resilient Partnerships," extending to regulators and oversight bodies as strategic partners.

That is the thinking behind this year's theme, "Quantifying Africa's Future: Risk, Resilience and Reform." Resilience is built through partnerships between insurers, regulators, government and the communities they serve, and these are the conversations BASY exists to host. We're delighted to welcome her back to open this year's symposium, and we look forward to her perspective on resilience, collaboration and the road ahead for Botswana's insurance industry.

We are proud to celebrate with you and look forward to continuing to support the journey of unlocking every talent and shaping the future.

The School management and Moruakgomo community will like to thank the following donors: Westlife Insurance company, Class of 96, Class of 99,Class of 2001, Tankomane Services, Tswana gas and Mr. Kagiso. Their donations made our ceremony successful.
