NBFIRA TO PARTICIPATE AT THE BIBF COMPLIANCE & GOVERNANCE CONFERENCE 2026
The Non-Bank Financial Institutions Regulatory Authority (NBFIRA) will participate in the BIBF Compliance & Governance Conference 2026, themed “Building Trust, Enhancing Security & Advancing Accountability in Botswana’s Financial and Digital Economy,” taking place on 15–16 October 2026.
The Authority’s Acting Chief Executive Officer, Mr Mooketsi Ramanteba, will participate on a panel discussion, on the topic; National Regulatory Update Regulators’ Priorities for 2026/27.
Additionally, Dikatso Olwapeng Moteu and Lorato Moses will be conducting a presentation on Governance in a Changing Risk Landscape: NBFIRA’ s Perspective on Innovation, Conduct and Regulatory Excellence.
Through its participation, the Authority will contribute its regulatory perspective to key industry discussions, demonstrate thought leadership in AML/CFT supervision, and engage with industry stakeholders on emerging compliance and governance issues. The conference also provides an opportunity to strengthen stakeholder relationships and enhance the Authority’s visibility and role as an active contributor to Botswana’s financial and digital economy.
