The Deputy Permanent Secretary - Corporate Services, in the Ministry of Trade and Entrepreneurship Botswana, Mr Tsaone Nkarabang, together with Chief Economic Planner, Ms Fiona Kgobe, recently toured completed and ongoing projects in Pandamatenga funded by the Ministry.
The visit provided an opportunity to appreciate progress made on the projects, as well as to gain insight into challenges encountered along the way.
Twelve (12) grain silos, with a combined storage capacity of 60,000 tonnes, were completed in 2024, bringing Pandamatengaโs total grain storage capacity to 90,000 tonnes.
Meanwhile, construction of a Grain Drier is ongoing and currently stands at 64% completion, with completion expected in January 2027.
SEZA continues to work closely with the Botswana Agricultural Marketing Board - BAMB to utilise and manage these facilities.
The infrastructure will play a significant role in supporting SEZAโs Agro-processing plans and unlocking the agricultural potential of the Chobe region.
