Today, Friday 16th October 2026, SEZA_Botswana joins stakeholders in Moshupa for the World Food Day Commemoration, held under the theme "๐๐ฏ๐ฏ๐ฐ๐ท๐ข๐ต๐ฆ ๐๐ฐ๐ฅ๐ข๐บ, ๐๐ฐ๐ถ๐ณ๐ช๐ด๐ฉ ๐๐ฐ๐ฎ๐ฐ๐ณ๐ณ๐ฐ๐ธ.โ
The Acting Minister of Lands and Agriculture, Honourable Motsamai Motsamai, will give a keynote address highlighting the importance of strengthening Botswanaโs agricultural sector and advancing national food security.
As Botswana continues to strengthen its food security efforts, SEZA contributes by facilitating investment in Agro-production, agro-processing and value addition through specialised economic zones.
Focused on Agro-production and Agro-processing, the Pandamatenga Special Economic Zone (SEZ) presents opportunities to expand agricultural production, attract investment in food processing, strengthen local supply chains and reduce reliance on imported food products.
The Lobatse SEZ on the other hand aims to promote investment in meat processing and leather manufacturing, while unlocking greater value from Botswanaโs livestock sector. It also stands to expand market opportunities and create employment across the agricultural value chain.
Through these strategic zones, SEZA is working to transform Agriculture into a catalyst for industrialisation, job creation, economic diversification and sustainable development.
