Botswana's annual inflation rate as measured by the Consumer Price Index (CPI) rose to 10.3% in April 2026, from 4.2% from 4.2% in March 2026, latest statistics from Statistics Botswana reveals. This was mainly on the back of the 28.5% increase in transport cost following the significant increase in retail fuel prices and public transport fares. Global fuel prices have risen sharply due to the continued geopolitical tensions in the Middle East.

Choppies Enterprises Limited published its financial results for the year ended 30 June 2025, showing a profit before tax of P318 million and a profit after tax from continuing operations of P151 million.

The company declared a final dividend of 0.6 thebe per share, payable on the 5th of November 2025.
