This year’s 6th Junkanoo Art competition showcased incredible creativity, talent, and cultural pride. Through innovative designs & inspiring interpretations of Junkanoo, these young artists reminded us why this treasured tradition continues to thrive through the next generation. The winners per age category are:

🏆 Ages 6–10
🥇 Ryley Richardson of Jamboree Kids School
🥈 Harez Stovel
🥉 Draya Brennen

🏆 Ages 11–14
🥇 Amy Godet of C. H. Reeves Junior High School
🥈 Chloe Sawyer of Queen's College
🥉 Mavanique St. Jules of C. H. Reeves Junior High School

The first-place winners received $500 cash, second-place winners earned enrollment in the National Art Gallery of The Bahamas' Summer Camp, and third-place winners received $100 in art supplies.

The creativity was undeniable. 🎨✨ Kudos to every young artist who submitted entries to our 6th Junkanoo Art Competition, showcasing the color, culture, & spirit of Junkanoo through incredible paintings, sculptures, drawings, & craftwork from across The Bahamas. 🇧🇸

Recently, our panel of judges gathered to review the impressive submissions as they worked to select this year’s winners.
