The final weekend of May was a meaningful one for the BahamaHealth team.

On Saturday evening, members of the management team and their spouses attended the 24th Annual Cancer Society Ball, held under the theme "Egyptian Nights." The event serves as the Cancer Society's signature fundraiser, supporting individuals and families affected by cancer throughout The Bahamas.

On Sunday, the team concluded Nurses' Month celebrations with a church service at Christ the King Anglican Church, joined by Family Guardian President Glen Ritchie and his wife, Kaynell Ritchie. The visit coincided with the launch of Christ the King's Health Guild, making the presence of our nursing team especially timely and impactful. Their participation brought a touch of professionalism and service that perfectly complemented this important new initiative.

The celebration continued with complimentary health screenings for church and community members, reflecting the spirit of nursing and the belief that “Caring is the essence of nursing.” — Jean Watson.

We were also pleased to recognize Dr. Conville Brown and Dr. Sinquee-Brown, both valued members of the BahamaHealth provider network, for their involvement in this occasion.

Family Guardian is proud to support the next generation of Bahamian musicians through our sponsorship of a Nassau Music Society scholarship.

Congratulations to Osean Montesino, who was selected by the Nassau Music Society to attend the prestigious International Music Camp in North Dakota. Following a competitive review process, Osean was awarded a full-tuition scholarship to the camp, and Family Guardian was pleased to contribute toward making this valuable opportunity possible.
