The amended Road Traffic Act is now fully in effect.

We encourage all road users to abide by the law as failure to do so will result in fees, penalties, financial hardship for victims and even prison time (vehicular homicide), which all far outweigh the cost of Third Party motor premium.

For a mere $300 - $350 insured drivers are covered for up to $2.5m in the event of personal injuries / death to each injured third party up to $30m for any one incident involving multiple injuries, $125k for third party property damage, and $125k for passenger injuries (restrictions apply).

For young, inexperienced drivers the premium is higher, but still very inexpensive when compared to the coverage provided.

Let us make wise financial decisions in 2026.

The Government of The Bahamas today has issued an Evacuation Order for vulnerable communities in the Northern Bahamas, following official advice from the Disaster Risk Management Authority.
Residents in the following areas are asked to evacuate:
GRAND BAHAMA
• East Grand Bahama: Freetown, High Rock, Pelican Point, and McLean's Town
• The Associated Cays: August Cay, McLean's Town Cay, Big Harbour Cay, Little Harbour Cay, Bonefish Cay, Sweeting's Cay, Water Cay, Deep Water Cay, Lightbourne Cay, Big Cross Cay, Michael's Cay, and Long Cay
ABACO
• Grand Cay
• Walker’s Cay
• RV Trailer Park Site (adjacent to the Government Complex, Marsh Harbour, Abaco)

We are currently in the heart of the Atlantic Hurricane Season and are experiencing adverse weather conditions.

If you have not already done so, now is the time to review your insurance needs because once a Tropical Storm is named, you will not be able to take out insurance or make changes to your existing policy. As you conduct your review ask yourself, “Is my building, contents, stock, equipment or boat insured for its replacement value? Can I afford not to have insurance? Do I have the funds to replace my assets if they are totally destroyed by fire, flood (heavy rains), a tornado or hurricane?
