Condor has many public facilities to use - the Community Centre, Drop In Centre, Rink (Ice in winter and cement in summer), and Ball Diamond. The centre is operated solely by volunteers. To rent the Centre please contact 403-357-4859. Rent is $125 for 4 hours (Main Hall), $275 for 24 hours and $425 for 48 hours. The Drop In Centre rent is $75. All arrangements for keys and insurance must be organi
zed before the rental event. Abuse of any volunteer will result in the cancellation of the event. The Condor Community Centre was completed in June 1982. Its dimensions are 65’ X 84”. The heated storage/office area was added on the west side of the hall. The main hall occupies 3360 square feet with seating capacity of 300 and is floor-heated and air-conditioned. The kitchen is fully equipped with three fridges, industrial stove and ovens, and dishwasher. Various commercial food preparation appliances (meat slicer, and blender/processor) for the use of community centre members for community functions. The bar provides a large counter area and is equipped with a sink. The drop-in centre occupies 700 square feet and is equipped with a separate kitchen facility and heat/air conditioning. It also has a wood fireplace to provide a more home like atmosphere. A large park allows for overnight RV camping (unserviced) and outdoor activities. Annual functions consist of Halloween and Christmas parties. The hall is used as a polling station. Events like reunions, pancake breakfasts, auctions, family dances, weddings, showers, funerals, meetings, benefits and training sessions take place at the centre.
