On Sept 17, 2025, the Fed cut rates by 25 bps to 4.00–4.25%, its first since Dec 2024, citing rising unemployment risks. Markets took it in stride — Bitcoin touched $115k, resisted at $117k, and now trades near $112k.

Prediction markets on Polymarket put an 81% chance on another cut at the Oct 28–29 meeting, likely lowering rates to 3.75–4.00%. Verified media estimate a 35–40% chance, while community sentiment points to about 37%.
