UIU DCCSA This Center provides career development counseling to UIU graduates. Designs and arrange seminars, workshops related to development of students.

The Directorate of Career Counseling & Student Affairs (DCCSA) plays a central role in the development of students in co-curricular and extra-curricular activities besides academic knowledge. Cultivates and maintains relationship with employers, relevant institutions and organizations. Major functions are:

Internship Placement

Internships are arranged with top organizations and financial institutions for the students to get an exposure to professional life in their respective field of study. Job Placement and Job Search

Career Counseling Center assists students search and find suitable part time jobs. Arranges full time placements either immediately after graduation or over a period of time. Besides the placement function Career Counseling Center is also involved in arranging workshops and seminars to practice on resume writing, interview techniques, job search skills and presentation techniques. Alumni Association

It is the expectation of the authorities of UIU that one day the graduates and the former students will be creating opportunities for the current students. UIU Entrepreneur Development Forum (UIU EDF) and UIU English Language Forum (UIU ELF) under the UIU Directorate of Career Counseling & Student Affairs (UIU DCCSA) jointly organized a conversation titled โ€œGarment Sector Contribution in Bangladesh Economy and Way Forwardโ€ on Saturday, 19 September 2026 at 2:00 PM in Seminar Room #126.

Mr. Khandker Sayeedul Islam, Group Executive Director of United Group, conducted the session as the keynote speaker. He discussed the current state of Bangladeshโ€™s Ready-Made Garments (RMG) sector, its future prospects, emerging opportunities and potential career paths for young professionals. At the beginning of the session, Mr. Nahid Hassan Khan, Director of UIU DCCSA delivered the welcome speech and encouraged students to explore career opportunities in the RMG sector. The session provided participants with valuable insights into the industryโ€™s contribution to Bangladeshโ€™s economy and its future direction.

UIU Social Services Club Concludes Blood Donation Campaign & Thalassemia Awareness Seminar

The UIU Social Services Club (UIUSSC) of United International University (UIU) successfully concluded its two-day "Blood Donation Campaign 2026" on 5 and 6 September 2026, collecting a total of 106 units of blood from students and other members of the university community. The program was organized under the Directorate of Career Counseling and Student Affairs (DCCSA) in association with Bangladesh Thalassemia Samity & Hospital (BTS). Its objectives were to encourage voluntary blood donation, raise awareness about Thalassemia, and strengthen a culture of compassion, social responsibility, and mutual support within the UIU community.
The campaign opened on 5 September with a Thalassemia Awareness Seminar at Seminar Room 628, UIU. The seminar addressed prevention, carrier screening, and early detection of Thalassemia, an inherited blood disorder. Distinguished guests and speakers from BTS included Prof. Dr. M A Khan, Dr. M A Matin, PhD, and Syed Deedar Bakth stressed that a person may show no symptoms and still be a carrier, and that many patients with the condition depend on regular blood transfusions. Registered seminar participants were offered Thalassemia carrier testing at BDT 500, compared with the regular fee of BDT 2,500.
Voluntary blood donation continued across both days. A total of 106 units (52 units on the first day and 54 units on the second) of blood were collected. Donors received complimentary screening reports, including blood grouping, HBsAg, Anti-HCV, Anti-HIV, malaria, and syphilis tests. They also received a free mini health check-up, a donor card, a gift, and refreshments.
Students, faculty, staff, and volunteers all took part in the campaign, which organizers described as a collective effort of the UIU community. For UIUSSC, it was a reminder that social service is an ongoing commitment, not limited to a single event or day, and that it includes building systems that make support more accessible in emergencies.

UIU Data Science Club successfully organized a roadshow on Robi Presents โ€œData Privacy Avengersโ€, one of the countryโ€™s leading case competitions focused on developing future leaders in data protection and privacy. The event was held on Wednesday, 16 September 2026, at Seminar Room #126.

The roadshow aimed to raise awareness among young people about data protection and privacy while inspiring and equipping students to become the next generation of leaders in this rapidly evolving field.

The program commenced with a welcome speech by Ms. Siana Rizwan, Lecturer, Department of CSE and Interim Club Moderator of UIU Data Science Club.

The distinguished representatives from Robi who joined the session included Mr. Abul Hasnat Mohammad Sofi Ullah, Senior General Manager, Cyber Security, Ms. Tasnim Zaman, Senior Manager, Employer Branding, Mr. Rejwan Ahmed, Associate Manager, Cyber Security, Mr. Subroto Kumar Dass, Associate Manager, Business Compliance and Mr. Iftikhar Imrul Khan, Graduate Trainee, Cyber Security.

The speakers shared valuable insights into the competition, discussed the growing importance of data protection and privacy and encouraged students to take part in this exciting national case competition.

The session concluded with a closing speech by Mr. Nahid Hassan Khan, Director, DCCSA of UIU.
