Bangladesh Commerce Bank Ltd (BCBL) is a leading commercial bank in Bangladesh offering a comprehensive suite of financial products. BCBL was formed following the National Parliament Act no. 12, 1997. An eleven member Board of Directors was constituted by the Government to steer the new banking organization of the country. The bank started its commercial activities on 16 Sep, 1999 with the slogan,

Bangladesh Commerce Bank Limited singed Mou with Hanseo University, Republic of Korea,

Bangladesh Commerce Bank Limited (BCBL) has signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Hanseo University, Republic of Korea. Managing Director of BCBL Mr. Md. Obaidul Hoque was present the program as chief guest.

Mr. Md. Zahirul Alam, Deputy Managing Director of BCBL and Professor Mr. D**g Ho Kim acting dean, international affairs & department of foreign language for aviation, Hanseo University Republic of Korea signed the agreement on behalf of their respective institutions. Among others all divisional head of BCBL and Mr. Md. Abdullah all faruq phd., Mr. Rejowan Shovon Endow Corporation were present on the Program. Under this MoU reflects a shared commitment to supporting students and their families while contributing to stronger people-to-people and institutional relations between Bangladesh and the Republic of Korea. Banking and payment services for students, facilitation of education-related financial transactions and others facility for Bangladeshi students pursuing higher education as Hanseo University.

বাংলাদেশের রাজনৈতিক ইতিহাসের এক অনন্য ব্যক্তিত্ব ও অবিস্মরণীয় নাম দেশনেত্রী বেগম খালেদা জিয়া। দেশের প্রথম নারী প্রধানমন্ত্রী এবং মুসলিম বিশ্বের দ্বিতীয় নির্বাচিত নারী সরকার প্রধান তিনি। একনায়কতন্ত্র, স্বৈরাচার ও ফ্যাসিবাদের বিরুদ্ধে এবং গণতন্ত্র পুনরুদ্ধারের আন্দোলনের প্রশ্নে তিনি ‘আপসহীন’ নেত্রীর উপাধি পান। ১৫ আগস্ট দেশনেত্রী বেগম খালেদা জিয়ার ৮২তম জন্মবার্ষিকী। এ উপলক্ষে ব্যাংকের প্রধান কার্যালয়ে আয়োজিত অনুষ্ঠানে প্রধান অতিথি হিসেবে উপস্থিত ছিলেন পরিচালনা পর্ষদের মাননীয় চেয়ারম্যান জনাব মোঃ আতাউর রহমান। সভাপতিত্ব করেন ব্যবস্থাপনা পরিচালক জনাব মোঃ ওবায়দুল হক। অন্যান্যের মধ্যে আরো উপস্থিত ছিলেন উপ-ব্যবস্থাপনা পরিচালকদ্বয় জনাব মোহাম্মদ জিয়াউল করিম ও জনাব মোঃ জহিরুল আলম। অনুষ্ঠানে প্রধান কার্যালয়ের সকল বিভাগীয় প্রধান এবং অন্যান্য কর্মকর্তাগন উপস্থিত ছিলেন।
প্রধান অতিথি জনাব মোঃ আতাউর রহমান তাঁর বক্তব্যে বলেন মহান স্বাধীনতার ঘোষক শহীদ প্রেসিডেন্ট জিয়াউর রহমানের গড়া মা, মাটি ও মানুষের রাজনৈতিক দল হিসেবে খ্যাত বাংলাদেশ জাতীয়তাবাদী দল-বিএনপি তাঁরই সহধর্মিনী বেগম খালেদা জিয়ার হাত ধরে সুদৃঢ় সাংগঠনিক কাঠামো ও জনপ্রিয়তার শেকড়ে পৌঁছে। ইতিহাসের বাঁকে বাঁকে নানা রাষ্ট্রীয় নিপীড়ন ও সংকটের মুখে বেগম খালেদা জিয়ার দৃঢ় নেতৃত্বে ফিনিক্স পাখির মতো ফের ঘুরে দাঁড়িয়ে দলটিতার গ্রহণযোগ্যতা, জনপ্রিয়তা ও বাংলাদেশের রাজনীতিতে প্রাসঙ্গিকতা বার বার প্রমাণিত হয়েছে।
ব্যবস্থাপনা পরিচালক বলেন গণতান্ত্রিক আন্দোলন ও সংগ্রাম, আধুনিক বাংলাদেশ বিনির্মাণে বেগম খালেদা জিয়া ইতিহাসের এক অবিচ্ছেদ্য অংশ হয়ে উঠেন। দেশনেত্রী বেগম খালেদা জিয়া শুধু একজন ব্যক্তি নন, নিজ কর্মগুণে নিজেকে একটি প্রতিষ্ঠানে পরিণত করেছেন। হয়ে উঠেছেন এক জীবন্ত ইতিহাস।
দেশনেত্রী বেগম খালেদা জিয়ার ৮২তম জন্মবার্ষিকীতে মহান আল্লাহর দরবারে তাঁর বিদেহী আত্মার মাগফিরাত ও জান্নাতুল ফেরদৌস কামনা করে দোয়া কামনা করা হয়।
