With the aim of increasing financing for green factory building and technology-driven initiatives, NCC Bank has recently signed two separate agreements with Bangladesh Bank to participate in two refinance schemes of Bangladesh Bank. Under the agreements, financing will be provided under the “Refinance Scheme for Green Factory Building and Green Industry” and the “Refinance Scheme for the Development of ICT Sector.” Each scheme has a fund size of BDT 1,000 crore, which will further expand opportunities for financing environment-friendly industrialization and technology-driven initiatives.

Mr. M. Shamsul Arefin, Managing Director of NCC Bank PLC and Mr. A K M Nurunnabi, Director of the Sustainable Finance Department of Bangladesh Bank signed the agreements at the Bangladesh Bank Head Office. Among others, Nighat Mumtaz, EVP and Head of Sustainable Banking (SB), Women's Banking and Strategic Brand Management (SBM) of NCC Bank PLC and other officials from the Sustainable Finance Department of Bangladesh Bank attended the ceremony.

Under “Refinance Scheme for Green Factory Building and Green Industry”, NCC Bank will facilitate refinance to the eligible borrowers for the Establishment of Green Factory Building and Green Industry at maximum 5% interest/profit rate which will be available against term loan/investment only for the period of maximum 10 (Ten) years.

Meanwhile, Under “Refinance Scheme for the Development of ICT Sector”, the Bank will facilitate refinance for the eligible borrowers at maximum 4% interest/profit rate which will be available against only term loan/investment or term loan/investment together with working capital for the period of maximum 10 (Ten) years.

The Bank believes that participation in these refinance schemes will reinforce its efforts to support green industries, technology-driven enterprises, and a digitally enabled sustainable economy, thereby contributing to the country's transition toward a more sustainable and climate-resilient future.

NCC Bank successfully organized a Student Banking Campaign and Tree Plantation Program - NCC Nishorgo at Notre Dame College, Mymensingh, hosted by our Mymensingh Branch on August 19, 2026. The program focused on promoting Student Banking, Financial Literacy, Digital Banking awareness, and our "NCC Nishorgo" tree plantation initiative.

The program was presided over by our Honorable Deputy Managing Director, Mr. Md. Habibur Rahman, as the Chief Guest. The program was further enriched by the presence of Dr. Father Thadeus Hembrom, CSC, Principal, Notre Dame College Mymensingh. Mr. Md. Anisur Rahman Majumder, VP & Financial Inclusion Cell (FIC), Mr. S. M. Tanvir Hasan, SAVP & Unit Head of Retail Banking & Digital Financial Services (DFS) Business, Mr. A. K. M. Badrul Hasan, AVP & Regional Head of Mymensingh Region also attended the program and shared their valuable insights with the students.
