🌍 Children’s vulnerability is increasing in Bangladesh and worldwide. To strengthen child protection, the Mohakhali CBCPC (Community Based Child Protection Committee) organized an advocacy meeting today, 17 June 2026, at the IPH Institute Conference Room, with representatives from relevant government and non-government organizations.

The CBCPC was strengthened under the Somotar Alo Project, financed by Terre des Hommes Italia in Bangladesh) and implemented by Shobujer Ovijan Foundation - SOF.

🌐 16 Days of Activism 2025 | UNiTE to End Digital Violence Against All Women & Girls

From November 25 to December 10, TDH Italia, under the Somotar Alo Project, proudly joins the global movement to Break Barriers and Build Safe Spaces—online and offline. This year’s theme calls for united action to end digital violence, including online harassment, deepfakes, and all forms of technology-facilitated abuse.

With the support of TDH Italia and in collaboration with our implementing partners—Sobujer Ovijan Foundation (SOF), Aparajeyo Bangladesh (AB), and ARBAN—a series of impactful community activities were conducted across Mohakhali, Pallabi, Rayer Bazar, and Baunibadh slum areas.

📱✨ Empowering Teachers, Enlightening Students ✨📱

On 21–22 September, a Residential Training of Trainers (TOT) on Digital Literacy was successfully conducted under the Somotar Alo – Light of Equality Project by TDH Italia.

Through this training, 32 dedicated teachers and project staff (21 male & 11 female) from 9 schools and institutions learned essential digital literacy skills. These teachers will now carry the knowledge forward, taking sessions with their adolescent students—spreading the light of digital empowerment. 🌍💡

🙌🙌Empowering Youth Through Digital Literacy: ARBAN Launches Computer Skills Training-

Today marks the exciting launch of a 3-month Computer Skill Development Training program by ARBAN Education & Women Empowerment Programme, aimed at equipping 30 adolescent club members with essential digital competencies. This comprehensive training covers the full Microsoft Office package, empowering participants to become proficient in tools that are vital for education, employment, and everyday life. ❤️

The initiative is part of the Somotar Alo – Light of Equality project, generously supported by Terre des Hommes Italia in Bangladesh, and the service provider of skill development partner by M&M Corporation. Through this program, adolescent club members will be transformed into a Digital Adolescent Club, gaining the computer literacy needed to thrive in a rapidly evolving digital world. 🙏🙏

🌟 Empowering Marginalized Children for a Brighter Future 🌟

On July 30, 2025, a crucial consultation meeting was held in Dhaka under the Light of Equality through Sponsorship project. Hosted by Aparajeyo-Bangladesh, in collaboration with ARBAN Education & Women Empowerment Programme and Shobujer Ovijan Foundation - SOF, and funded by Terre des Hommes Italia in Bangladesh, the meeting focused on improving education, mental health, and digital safety for marginalized children.

The event was graced by Mrs. Farhana Haque, Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education, who highlighted the importance of government and NGO collaboration, and emphasized how education and career counseling will help address current challenges.

The consultation brought together government officials, educators, NGO representatives, and civil society members to discuss strategies for ensuring inclusive education and safe learning environments. Key activities discussed included:

Mental health counseling for 3,600 students

Digital safety awareness classes

Career counseling and teacher training

We are proud to be part of this impactful project, working towards a safer, more inclusive educational environment for every child.
