WeLoveU’s Clean Action Campaign in Real Life –Summer Vacation & Clean Action Challenge in August
Shared by the Int. WeLoveU Foundation
The campaign period: 30 July - 31 August 2022
The Intl. WeLoveU Foundation (WeLoveU, Chairwoman Zahng Gil-jah) carries out the “Summer Vacation and Clean Action Challenge” in August for the attainment of carbon neutrality by 2050. To cope with extreme summer heat caused by global warming, this challenge invites people to take the challenge of saving energy and resources during their summer vacation to help reduce carbon emissions. By unplugging unused appliances before going on vacation and taking public transportation for travel, we can contribute to saving energy and using less oil and gas. The challenge also encourages people to avoid loading unnecessary items into their personal vehicles to prevent resource waste. At vacation destinations, the challenge urges people to avoid using single-use disposables and recycle the waste generated properly to promote resource circulation.
When all people across the globe join in the effort to reduce energy consumption and resource waste, the lives of many refugees who are displaced due to climate change can be protected. This is the important reason why we should participate in the WeLoveU’s Clean Action Challenge.
To join:
Upload photos of your participation to SNS or email them to [email protected]. In the email, please provide your name, country and a few words about how you feel participating in the challenge.
※ Selected submissions will be displayed on the WeLoveU’s official Instagram account https://www.instagram.com/campaign.weloveu
