Launching ceremony of the ‘16th Fiscal Economics and Economic Management (FEEM) Course’ has been organized by Institute of Public Finance Bangladesh (IPF) at IPF premises on Sunday, 1st January 2017. Honorable Senior Secretary, Finance Division, Ministry of Finance and Chairman of IPF Governing Council Mr. Mahbub Ahmed inaugurated the course as the chief guest. Additional Secretary of Finance Division, Ministry of Finance Mr. Jalal Ahmed and Mr. Mohammad Muslim Chowdhury were also present in the occasion as special guests. Director General of IPF and Joint Secretary of Finance Division, Ministry of Finance Mr. Md. Habibur Rahman presided over the ceremony. Twenty five government officials from different ministries and departments of the government are participating in this two and a half months long ‘Fiscal Economics and Economic Management (FEEM) Course’ conducted by IPF.
With the objective of creating a pool of efficient officials at different levels of the administration to enhance government’s fiscal management capacities, ‘Fiscal Economics and Economic Management (FEEM) Course’ has been arranged which has already gained popularity amongst officials of different ministries and departments. Course module includes topics on overall fiscal management and reform, macroeconomic management, fiscal framework and strategies, various aspects of budget management, leading contemporary issues for development, poverty reduction and achieving targets of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Bangladesh. Experienced high level government officials, prominent researchers, academicians and guest lecturers conduct training on different aspects of public financial management in this advanced course. 16th Fiscal Economics and Economic Management (FEEM) Course will be concluded on 16th March, 2017.
