Mastercard, in collaboration with Islami Bank Bangladesh PLC, launched the ‘Hajj Agent Kafela Card’ to make financial transactions more convenient and seamless for Hajj agents and support the Hajj journey. The card enables seamless payments at POS terminals, along with up to 4 complimentary annual access to the Balaka Executive Lounge at the airport and other benefits. Munshi Alauddin Al Azad, Secretary, Ministry of Religious Affairs, Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, formally inaugurated the card during an exchange meeting between Islami Bank and members of the Hajj Agencies Association of Bangladesh (HAAB), held in Dhaka recently. The event was chaired by Mohammad Zahir Hossain, Chairman, Islami Bank Bangladesh PLC. Md. Altaf Hossain, Managing Director (Acting), Islami Bank Bangladesh PLC, delivered the welcome remarks, while Sohail Alim, Director, Mastercard Bangladesh, attended as Special Guest. Dr. M. Kamal Uddin Jasim, Additional Managing Director, Islami Bank Bangladesh PLC, along with senior officials from HAAB and the bank, were also present.
