Banking and Insurance Club proudly presents 'Future Ready Careers: Why Islamic Finance Matters for You' on 14 January 2026 at 10:00 AM at Prof. Dr. Abdullah Farouk Conference Hall, FBS, University of Dhaka.

The session will feature Dr M***i Yousuf Sultan, Founder and CEO of ADL Advisory (Malaysia), a globally recognized Islamic finance expert with over 15 years of experience in Shariah advisory, audit, consultancy, and training. He is a registered Shariah Adviser with the Securities Commission of Malaysia and Labuan FSA, and a member of international Shariah committees including Bangladesh Bank and Standard Chartered Saadiq Malaysia.

Banking and Insurance Club is pleased to collaborate with MonkMoney PTY LTD Presents Hult Prize at the University of Dhaka Powered by HeadStart & Co-Powered by ExploreEd Ventures to share the official on-campus round of the Hult Prize, a globally recognized student competition that empowers university students to develop innovative and sustainable social business ideas to address real-world challenges. Through structured competition rounds, mentorship, and workshops, participants gain hands-on experience in building impact-driven solutions aligned with this year’s theme, “Unlimited.”

The competition is open to teams of 2-4 members, with cross-university teams allowed (minimum one University of Dhaka student required). Participants will compete for a total prize pool of BDT 120,000, and the champion team will advance to the next stage of the global Hult Prize competition. Registration is free and open until 12 January, 2026 (11:59 PM).

ব্যাংকিং অ্যান্ড ইনস্যুরেন্স বিভাগের ২১তম ব্যাচের শিক্ষার্থী অনমা বড়ুয়া-এর আকস্মিক মৃত্যুতে আমরা গভীরভাবে শোকাহত। গতকাল তার মৃত্যুর সংবাদ জানা যায়, যা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় পরিবার ও সংশ্লিষ্ট সকলের জন্য অত্যন্ত মর্মান্তিক ও বেদনাদায়ক।

প্রাথমিকভাবে মৃত্যুর কারণ আত্মহত্যা বলা হলেও, তার পরিবার থেকে এ বিষয়ে গুরুতর সন্দেহ প্রকাশ করা হয়েছে এবং মৃত্যুকে ঘিরে নানা প্রশ্ন উঠেছে। শান্তশিষ্ট ও সুস্থ সামাজিক জীবনের অধিকারী একজন ব্যক্তি, যিনি মাত্র কয়েক মাস আগে বিবাহবন্ধনে আবদ্ধ হয়েছিলেন এবং একটি ভালো পেশাগত জীবনে নিয়োজিত ছিলেন তার এমন আকস্মিক মৃত্যুর পেছনে প্রকৃত কারণ নির্ধারণ অত্যন্ত গুরুত্বপূর্ণ।

এই ঘটনার সুষ্ঠু, নিরপেক্ষ ও গভীর তদন্ত হওয়া একান্ত প্রয়োজন। যদি এটি আত্মহত্যার ঘটনাও হয়ে থাকে, তবে এর পেছনে কোনো ধরনের চাপ, প্ররোচনা বা জোরপূর্বক পরিস্থিতি কাজ করেছে কি না তা খতিয়ে দেখা উচিত। ন্যায়বিচার নিশ্চিত করা এবং সত্য উদঘাটন করা সংশ্লিষ্ট কর্তৃপক্ষের দায়িত্ব।

আমরা মরহুমার আত্মার মাগফিরাত কামনা করছি এবং শোকসন্তপ্ত পরিবারের প্রতি গভীর সমবেদনা জানাই।
