Bank Asia Ltd became the 𝟭𝘀𝘁 𝗽𝗿𝗶𝘇𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗿 𝗶𝗻 𝗦𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗔𝘀𝗶𝗮 for Best Presented Annual Report 2020 (Private Sector Banks) and SAARC Anniversary Award for Corporate Governance Disclosures 2020, awarded by South Asian Federation of Accountants (SAFA).

This year Bank Asia has been awarded “𝗢𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗪𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗿” in the SAARC countries. The Institute of Chartered Accountant of Sri Lanka organized the prize giving ceremony through virtual platform recently.

Mr. Md. Sazzad Hossain, DMD & COO and Mr. Mohammad Ibrahim Khalil FCA, CFO of Bank Asia Limited received the award from Mr. Md. Shahadat Hossain FCA, President, The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh (ICAB). Mr. Md. Kamruzzaman, Deputy CFO of the Bank were also present in the ceremony among others.

The awards given by the South Asian Federation of Accountants (SAFA) are considered the most prestigious accolade for financial reporting in countries of the South Asian region.

Bank Asia Ltd has been awarded “𝗥𝗲𝗺𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟭 & 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟮” by the Center for Non Resident Bangladeshi (NRB) recently at an event titled “World Conference Series 2022 – Branding Bangladesh”. Head of Foreign Remittance Department of Bank Asia, Mr. Golam Gaffar Imtiaz Chowdhury, received the award on behalf of the bank from Honorable Foreign Minister Dr. A. K. Abdul Momen MP.

Mr. M.S. Shekil Chowdhury, Chairperson of the Centre for NRB presided over the ceremony where Economic Affairs Adviser to the Prime Minister Dr. Mashiur Rahman, State Minister for Planning, Dr. Shamsul Alam, Chief of Army Staff, General SM Shafiuddin Ahmed, NDU, PSC, PhD, Professor Emeritus of BSMMU, Dr A.B.M. Abdullah, Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Expatriate Welfare, Mr. Shahidul Alam and Mayor of Croydon, London, Mr. Sherwan Chowdhury, were present among others.
