Daily DSEX Closing Progression: Despite starting the week with minor corrections on Sunday and Monday, the DSEX staged a strong, three-day consecutive recovery from Tuesday through Thursday to close the week on a positive note.

Turnover & Liquidity: Driven by strong bargain hunting and heavily assisted by a massive BDT 3.35 billion corporate block trade, market liquidity built late-week momentum to peak at a daily turnover of BDT 8.67 billion on Thursday.

১. শেয়ারবাজারে বিদেশি বিনিয়োগ সহজ করতে কর সনদের শর্ত তুলে নিল বাংলাদেশ ব্যাংকঃ
বাংলাদেশ ব্যাংক বিদেশি বিনিয়োগকারীদের জন্য শেয়ার বিক্রির পর প্রতি লেনদেনে আলাদা ট্যাক্স সার্টিফিকেট জমার বাধ্যবাধকতা তুলে দিয়েছে। এখন অনুমোদিত ব্যাংকগুলো সরাসরি উৎসে কর কেটে নেবে, ফলে বিদেশি বিনিয়োগকারীরা দ্রুত পুনঃবিনিয়োগ ও অর্থ প্রত্যাবাসন করতে পারবেন। বাজারে বিদেশি অংশগ্রহণ বাড়াতে এটি একটি গুরুত্বপূর্ণ পদক্ষেপ হিসেবে দেখা হচ্ছে।

২. রাজস্ব লক্ষ্যমাত্রা পূরণে আবারও ব্যর্থতার মুখে এনবিআরঃ
চলতি অর্থবছরেও জাতীয় রাজস্ব বোর্ড (NBR) নির্ধারিত রাজস্ব আহরণ লক্ষ্যমাত্রা অর্জনে ব্যর্থ হতে পারে বলে আশঙ্কা করা হচ্ছে। ধারাবাহিকভাবে এটি হতে যাচ্ছে দশম বছরের মতো রাজস্ব ঘাটতির ঘটনা। অর্থনৈতিক মন্থরতা, আমদানি কমে যাওয়া এবং দুর্বল কর প্রশাসনকে প্রধান কারণ হিসেবে দেখা হচ্ছে।

৩. দেড় কোটি টাকার বেশি আয়ে ৩৫% কর আরোপের পরিকল্পনাঃ
এনবিআর নতুন বাজেটে উচ্চ আয়ের ব্যক্তিদের জন্য সর্বোচ্চ করহার ৩৫ শতাংশ করার পরিকল্পনা করছে। প্রস্তাব অনুযায়ী, যাদের বার্ষিক আয় ১ কোটি ৫০ লাখ টাকার বেশি, তাদের ওপর নতুন এই করহার প্রযোজ্য হতে পারে। সরকারের রাজস্ব বাড়ানোই এই উদ্যোগের মূল লক্ষ্য।

৪. ৪২ কোটি ৫০ লাখ টাকা লোকসানে ইউনিয়ন ক্যাপিটালঃ
