Investing in Bonds?

Know your investments as there are plenty of products and investment vehicles lying around the market. You need to learn more before deciding to invest your money.

Here are 4 basic things on Bonds:
🔸A bond is simply a loan taken out by a company. Instead of banks, the company gets money from investors who buy its bonds. The company then pays interest on fixed intervals and return the principal back on maturity.
🔸Like any other investments, bonds have their risks. For one, interest rate share an inverse relationship with bonds. so when interest rate increases, bonds tend to fall.
🔸Most bonds have a rating that outlines their quality of credit, meaning how strong the bond is and their ability to pay back the interest and principal.
🔸Yields are the measures of return to determine whether the investment is profitable.

Bonds are generally conservative and less volatile than stocks or equities.
