Today, the KOICA Azerbaijan Office and the project implementation team from the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport of the Republic of Azerbaijan officially signed the agreement for the implementation of the “ChildCyberCare (CCC) – 2” project.

The project aims to provide cybersecurity awareness workshops for children from socially vulnerable groups, promoting safer internet use and strengthening digital literacy through interactive and practical training sessions. Participants will gain essential knowledge on online safety, cybersecurity risks, and responsible digital behavior.

The project will be implemented by Ms. Arzu Abdullayeva, Ms. Lala Karimova, Ms. Nigar Hasanzada, and Mr. Ismayil Asadullayev, who will lead the training, organizational, and coordination activities throughout the project period.

Through this initiative, the partners reaffirm their shared commitment to inclusive digital education and empowering children with essential cybersecurity knowledge for a safer digital future.

🇰🇷 KOICA Azerbaijan Office at ADA University 🇦🇿
On 6 May 2026, the KOICA Azerbaijan Office, together with the Embassy of the Republic of Korea to Azerbaijan and the KOICA Alumni Association (KOAZ), held an informative session at ADA University dedicated to the KOICA CIAT Fellowship Program and the Global Korea Scholarship (GKS).
The event brought together students and young professionals interested in academic and professional opportunities in the Republic of Korea. Participants had the opportunity to learn more about:

• Global Korea Scholarship (GKS) opportunities
• Academic life and culture in Korea
• Experiences and insights from GKS alumni

We were pleased to hold an orientation session for a representative of the State Agency for the Use of Mineral Resources under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, Mr. Punhan Zeynalli, who has been selected for the KOICA Scholarship Program (SP-2, 2025).

He will pursue a Master’s Degree in Capacity Building for Managing Climate Change and Environment at Incheon National University.

We wish him success in his academic journey and look forward to his future contributions to sustainable environmental management and climate resilience in Azerbaijan.

🌍 KOAZ Annual Ceremony 2025
Today, the KOICA Alumni Association of Azerbaijan (KOAZ), together with the KOICA Office in Azerbaijan, successfully hosted the KOAZ Annual Ceremony 2025 in Baku! 🎉
The event was opened by H.E. Mr. Kang Kymgu, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Azerbaijan, and Mrs. Hwang Sulim, Country Director of the KOICA Azerbaijan Office, who both expressed deep appreciation to partners and alumni for strengthening the friendship and cooperation between Korea and Azerbaijan.
This year’s ceremony showcased inspiring alumni-led initiatives implemented under the Share Your CIAT and KOAZ Social Contribution frameworks — turning knowledge into action for a better future:
💡 Health Insurance Awareness for Medical Students in Azerbaijan- led by Ms. Nisa Aliyeva and her team (Mr. Vusal Mammamzadeh and Mr. Vahid Aliyev), strengthening understanding of the national MHI system among future doctors.
🤖 Future Skills 4.0: Building University Capacity for the Industry of Tomorrow — presented by Ms. Gulmina Malikzade, developing frameworks to integrate Industry 4.0 competencies into higher education.
🧒💻 ChildCyberCare: Enhancing Digital Literacy and Online Safety for Vulnerable Children — led by Ms. Arzu Abdullayeva and her team (Ms. Lala Karimova, Ms. Nigar Hasanzade, Ms. Aysel Ibrahimli) empowering children with knowledge to stay safe in the digital world.
