Today we celebrate Lynne Kelly as she begins an exciting new chapter and wish her a very happy retirement.

Lynne has been an integral part of our West Wyalong community for many years, playing a huge role in establishing and growing our branch into the successful one it is today. Her dedication, knowledge and genuine care for our members have made a lasting impact, and she will be greatly missed by the SWS team.

We hope retirement brings plenty of time for the things Lynne loves. Especially bowls, tennis and a little well-deserved relaxation!

Thank you, Lynne, for everything you have given to SWS. We wish you all the very best for this next chapter.

“Mum, my phone’s broken.” That’s how it started for Susanne.
Message after message claimed to be from her daughter. Her phone was broken. Her bank account was frozen. She needed money urgently.
By the time Susanne called her daughter to check, nearly $26,000 had been transferred.
“Unless you’re 100% sure who it’s coming from, don’t engage.”
Behind every scam report is a real person and a real story. No one’s just a number.

They talked for weeks. Then came the phone call.
Someone Nikita trusted told her his son had been in an accident and urgently needed help.
Wanting to do the right thing, she sent $5,000.
The next day, her number was blocked.
“I never thought it would happen to me. But it can happen to anyone.”
Behind every scam report is a real person and a real story. No one’s just a number.

“It’s a shocking feeling when your hard-earned money has gone.”
Mannu thought he was paying his builder.
Instead, scammers stole his $20,000 deposit.
Stories like Mannu’s are a reminder that scammers can target everyday transactions when we least expect it.
Every story shared could help protect another person. No one’s just a number.
