BROKING ASSISTANT – YOUNG, NSW
ABOUT THE ROLE
We're seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Broking Assistant to join our team at our Young office.
This is a full-time, office based position offering genuine progression into ACCOUNT MANAGER responsibilities for the right candidate.
You'll support our broking team by handling client communications, policy administration, renewals coordination, and general office operations.
You'll develop a solid understanding of general insurance products, build client relationships, and learn the craft of insurance broking from experienced professionals.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with policy administration, including new business setup, renewals, and amendments
- Support clients via phone, email, and in person with enquiries and service requests
- Process documentation and maintain accurate client records
- Coordinate renewal schedules and chase outstanding information from clients
- Liaise with insurers and underwriters on client matters
- Handle general office duties including data entry and scheduling
- Contribute to a professional, collaborative workplace culture
- Develop knowledge of general insurance products and broking processes
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Strong organisational and administrative skills
- Excellent communication abilities — both written and verbal
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to prioritise and work to deadlines
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer skills
- A genuine interest in insurance and client service

DESIRABLE QUALITIES
- Customer service experience (retail, hospitality, or professional services)
- Basic knowledge of insurance or willingness to learn
- Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) systems
- Experience in a fast-paced office environment
