Woolsthorpe Primary School

Woolsthorpe Primary School We are a Government Primary School. Woolsthorpe Primary School, with an enrolment of 101 pupils in 2012, has a strong community culture of learning.

Our school has an equivalent fulltime staff of 9.8: 1 principal, 5.8 teachers and 3 Educational Support Staff. Our school encourages and receives active parental participation in all program areas and we have worked hard to form partnerships with parents in our community. This is reflected in our parent opinion survey results. The school services a wide area with about 70% of our students being bu

ssed from outlying districts. Our school strives “to provide a dynamic learning environment that engages students who work to achieve their personal best in an atmosphere of mutual respect and cooperation.” It is our intention to promote the values of “Respect, Excellence, Care and Teamwork". In 2011 we have consolidated these values through the introduction of our House System in which students taken responsibilty for their actions and are active in promoting excellence in all learning areas. Quality teaching and learning programs with emphasis on Literacy and Numeracy and integration of ICT further combine to provide an exciting and flexible learning program designed to meet students' individual needs. In 2012 we look to build and refine our work around students' learning as we enter an exciting chapter in the school's future with our new facilities through the Building Futures program.

🌺 ANZAC Day – Lest We Forget 🌺
Thank you to the students who proudly represented our school community at the ANZAC Service at the Warrnambool RSL, marching and laying a wreath in honour of those who have served.
We are also incredibly proud of our Year 6 students who led our commemorative service at school this week. We thank our special guests and ex-servicemen who shared their experiences with our students, helping bring deeper understanding to this important day.
Our Year 5/6 students then visited the Woolsthorpe Memorial to pay their respects and honour members of our local community.
Lest We Forget.
